We provide MiDAS training for volunteers who will drive our vehicles. Please call <strong>01772 204667 Option 2</strong> to enquire.MiDAS is a nationally recognised training course for volunteer minibus drivers. It is essential for all drivers of Preston CT’s minibuses.It takes one day – starting at 9am – with a classroom session and a driving session. The courses are flexible, they can be done at our location using our training room or in a more appropriate location.We will use an appropriate vehicle to do the drive and, for those doing an accessible course, the proper techniques for wheel chairs and assisting passengers with disabilities.You will need to bring your driving licence as well as a code for the DVLA website so we can check your driving history.As separate courses we also provide Passenger Assistant Training (PATS) and 5 Steps to Safety; please ask Dave about this.You can find out more about MiDAS, PATS and 5 Steps to Safety, from the Community Transport Association <a href=”http://www.ctauk.org/training/introduction-to-midas.aspx” data-mce-href=”http://www.ctauk.org/training/introduction-to-midas.aspx”>here</a>.Please note that there is no parking (unless you hold a blue badge yourself) and lunch is not included in the price – we do have a small kitchen you can use with a microwave, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
